What is a team goal and why is it needed?
  • Watch the video " What is a team goal and why is it needed ?" (15 min)
  • Think about it:
◦ Is my current team goal a number of tasks/projects or a goal?
◦ Does my team understand why we do what we do?
  • Prove yourself and ask a quick question to your team members:
◦ What is the goal of our team?
◦ How are your tasks related to the team’s goal?
  • Spend some time reflecting on the team’s answers - do they all clearly understand the team goal/ How would you rank their understanding on a scale from 1 to 10?
Building a team goal from team’s projects
  • Watch the video "Building a Team Goal from team Projects" (15 minutes)
  • Analyze what projects your team is currently working on
  • Consider the questions:
◦ Why are these projects being carried out?
◦ What should they change in business?
◦ Who do they influence?
◦ How can you measure the results?
  • Based on the analysis, bring the draft your team goal definition: “My team does X to achieve Y.”
  • Check your wording against the checklist:
◦ There is a measurable result
◦ The contribution of the team and individual colleagues is clear
◦ The goal delivers transformation, not just activity
◦ There is a clear business value
◦ It can be presented to a company Founder or CEO
